Another name for voltage regulator is Automatic Voltage Regulation, or AVR for short. It is a device specially designed for AC brushless generators with fundamental wave, harmonic compound excitation or equipped with permanent magnet generator excitation (PGM system). Its main function is to stabilize the voltage and keep it stable.
